Bill Gribble has lived and worked in North Wales for many years. He was inspired by an Aunt when very young to develop and take part in creative and artistic activities.

Bill undertook a three year teaching course in fine art at Alsager (Manchester Metropolitan University) progressing into a teaching career in Art, Craft and Design. He achieved first and higher degrees at Manchester and Bangor Universities. His career in education led to Headships and subsequently, he became the Senior Education Officer for childrenʼs services in Flintshire, North Wales.

Bill is now an author as well as an artist. He has successfully exhibited and sold his work at home and internationally for many years and is inspired by other artists, events and the environment. He records what interests him through drawing, sculpting and painting, working primarily from his studio in Llandudno. Although he is currently best known for attempting to capture the power and light of the water around the Welsh coastline in oil paint, he also enjoys portraying all subjects of interest in a range of media.
